About Me

My initial training in counselling was from a psycho-dynamic perspective which involves helping clients understand and resolve their problems by increasing their awareness of unconscious feelings and the influence these have over relationships both past and present.

Since qualifying as a counsellor,  I have developed an integrative style of working with clients which brings together different elements of therapy styles. More importantly though, I believe that each client needs to be considered a unique individual and that counselling techniques need be tailored to suit specific needs.

Working as a nurse and counsellor for many years, along side my own personal experiences, have helped me to have a better understanding of many of the issues that clients bring to counselling.
